Heather Monasky is a Criminal Defense Trial Lawyer for Rodriguez Law Group. She is designated to oversee the firm's criminal matters.
Heather graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN. While there, she participated in the Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners (LAMP) clinic, going into maximum security prisons to assist incarcerated individuals with civil matters. In addition, she secured a research assistant position with Professor Sarah Deer, focusing on violence against Native American women. Finally, she served on the William Mitchell Law Review and published a student note.
Since law school, she has worked and consulted for the International Women's Rights Project and the Tribal Law and Policy Institute. She obtained an International Law Fellowship at the American Society of International Law in Washington, D.C. before relocating to California, where she has worked in criminal law since 2014. Many of her cases resolve favorably for her clients, including dismissals, hung juries, and acquittals.
